WHAT IS SALVATION

When we say that we are ‘saved’ what do we mean? In short, we are saying that we have accepted Jesus into our hearts. The Bible says; If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). By trusting Jesus as your Savior, you will be forgiven of your sins and born into the family of God. We would love to welcome you into the Mt. Nebo family and help you grow in your relationship with our Lord and Savior.

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

Romans 5:1

For God so love the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoevery believeth in him should not perish but have everylasting life.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. V9 Not by works, lest any man should boast.

Ephesians 2: 8-9

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou, shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mount confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:9-11

He that beliveth on the Son halt everlasting life: and he that beliveth Not on the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Prayer for Salvation

Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of a savior, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I confess that Jesus is Lord; I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I pray and ask you to come into my life and save me.

I thank you that right now for saving me.  Praise the Lord! Remember, it’s not the words of the prayer that saved you; it’s the repentance and faith in your heart that lay hold of your salvation.!
